You Dutch is so much better than my Italian. I don’t get much further than mille grazie.

Yes, we do have the same metaphorical concept of black and white in Dutch. But I have always disliked it very much. It frames issues as opposites of eachother. Mutually exclusive. Or in modern terms: zero-sum games. It makes you try to find either balance somehwere in the middle, or want to go into it with a winner-takes-all mindset. What I mean with my remark, is that the way to find balance, is to respect the multitude of colours, and the fact that they all put together, some parts mixing, some parts shining in their own beauty, some hiding like chameleons next to similar shades, and most of the time a combination of all that, play as an orchestra to perform the composition that is you. Find the balance by finding a way to let both elements shine together. It’s better than taking the shine of both by looing for the middle.

It’s my believe that this is the wisdom your mother had, too. It’s, for me, also the meaning of Yin and Yang. Having both, next to all the other elements.

I’d love to be in your group. Would be great to explore the newsletter journey with you. I have recently started one as well. One that is quite personal. I’ve done several newsletters before, also for clients. But making it for yourself is different.
