What a great piece. It makes one think. I, personally, find indeed the world not to be blac and white. Not even all sorts of grey tones. It’s a multicoloured festival. That makes it interesting, too. I, to my regret, cannot read Italian. Would love to be able to read Eco one day in his original voice. I find the English translations often better than those in my native Dutch. But I digress. I think it would be interesting that if you start to write a newsletter, you consider for who you would be writing. If it’s both audiences, I don’t see why you cannot mix it. That would reflect who you are. And then please don’t do translations. So the famous “English version below”, or the other way around. No, do the bits in Italian that you think are best in Italian, and the ones that are better written in English, write them in English. I think it would be an interesting newsletter, that way. Reflecting you and your skills. I would subscribe. Maybe it will help me to be more comfortable in Italian, so that one day, I can reread my favorite books in their original language. And Dante, too.
