An Opportunity To Learn and Grow
A poem in three tritriplicatas on learning from failure
I just killed
a mole cricket. It was
wandering in our garden. I thought
it was a cockroach. Now,
I’m sorry.
Mistake made
lesson learned. No failure,
an opportunity for growing.
I won’t knowingly do
that again.
Never drown
in the mistakes you’ve made,
just be sure they teach you how to swim.
Mistakes are okay. Once.
Then, you grow.
Whether it’s about insects in your garden, writing, or living your life, mistakes are beautiful learning opportunities. You can embrace your mistake and learn from it. So you won’t make that mistake again. You grow. Or, next time, you do what you did on purpose. Because you think it is the best thing to do.
This poem consists of three tritriplicatas. That’s a form I created. Want to know more? Read this:
